Out of the Pits is a Not-for-profit organization that was founded in 1994. We seek to educate the public about the true nature of the American Pit Bull Terrier and how these dogs were once America's favorite.

As many OOTP dogs become stars on the agility field, make therapy visits in nursing homes and hospitals, provide humane education in schools throughout the Northeast and increasingly participate in law enforcement, all of them remain stars in the heart of their families.

Out of The Pits has many wonderful programs, including Pre-school, Elementary, Secondary school and higher education workshops, Public education clinics, Therapy dog visits, Spay-neuter program, pitbulls helping pitbulls and owner counseling.
