Nova’s Second Chance: Abandoned Dog Seeks Forever Home
In the heart of Menands, a heartbreaking discovery was made on December 21, 2024. A dog, now lovingly named Nova, was found tied to a pole at Ganser-Smith Memorial Park, left to brave the freezing cold alone. Thankfully, she was rescued, and her journey to find a loving forever home has begun.
The Menands Police Department is investigating this act of abandonment and urges the community to come forward with any information.
As Nova waits for her forever family, she’s already stolen hearts with her lively, affectionate personality. This energetic pup thrives on human interaction, loves attention, and is always up for an adventure. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or just enjoy playing in the yard, Nova will be your perfect companion. But don’t let her high energy fool you – Nova is also a cuddle champion. After a long day of play, she’ll snuggle up with you, providing the perfect blend of companionship and relaxation.
Nova is already learning basic commands, crate-trained, and a quiet companion (she rarely barks!). While she’s still mastering house training, she’s eager to please and quick to learn – especially with treats involved!
If you’re ready to welcome Nova into your life, please note that Nova would thrive in an active household without cats and a patient family willing to continue her training and provide plenty of love would be the perfect fit.
Provide Nova with a second chance at love – adopt her today!
