ABOUT ME
Hi everyone! Atlas here. My foster parents named me that because apparently my head reminds them of this thing called an atlas ball?
My foster mom and dad say I am a bit of a doofy dude because sometimes I trip over my big feet and run into things with my huge head.
They keep saying I’m going to be a big boy because my dad weighed 140lbs
I am the happiest boy and the biggest snuggle bug! My favorite sleeping position is a full on sploot but I love to curl up on the couch with my foster parents too.
I get along great with my four legged foster sisters. I’ve seen cats and they don’t really impress me, although I’ve never really gotten to hang out with one.
I’m always up for an adventure! My foster parents take me on hikes and walks all the time! I love everyone I meet, humans and dogs alike. Oh, and if you give me a treat, I’ll be your best friend.
I absolutely LOVE food and am doing well training. I can sit, spin, walk nicely on a leash, and am working on other tricks! I love my crate and sleep through the night. I am mostly potty trained (I know I should go outside) but sometimes I have an accident in the house.
Everyone says I have the most beautiful eyes – do you agree?
Adoption Requirements
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Any children in the home or visiting regularly should be at least 5 years of age.
- Any current animals in the home must be spayed or neutered.
- We adopt to locations within a 2 hour radius from the Albany NY area (excluding Canada).
- We DO NOT ship dogs. It is important to us that you meet a dog prior to adoption.
- Opposite sex placements only. Exceptions made only when the dog in the adoptive home is a SENIOR for its breed (at our discretion) and the dog being adopted is a puppy.
- Everyone in the home must be in agreement about adding a new dog to the household.
- You must own your home to adopt a puppy. If you rent we will ONLY consider an adult placement (over the age of 2).
- If you rent please verify that your landlord will allow pit bulls (we will check). And renters must have a 1 year rental history at current location.
- If you own, verify that your home owner’s insurance covers the Pit bull breed (if not, we would be happy to give you the name of companies that do not breed discriminate).
- Please verify that your community does not have any breed specific legislation.
