Sometimes when we get a dog we just know the name they come with isn’t right, no matter how dignified a name, such as Hector.
When we met this dog we knew 2 things:
- He loves to eat
- He’s a chicken.
Meet Scooby! A big, beautiful, green eyed, one year old Pit Bill mix! Scooby was set to be euthanized in a downstate shelter, but was rescued by the kennel staff and a few advocates just in time!
He is a strong guy, and would be a great “man’s” best friend, or would do best in a house with adults or older children. Scooby may look very stoic, but don’t be fooled, he is a goofball puppy in disguise. Scooby enjoys playing with his other foster siblings, playing with toys and running around the yard (Zoinkes! Big Zoomies!!!).
Scooby has a big appetite, enjoy kisses, and walks in the woods. He is well-behaved on a leash and can sit on command. He is working on curbing the jumping with his foster mom’s help. Even though Scooby is still learning some things, he is very eager to become the best version of himself. Scooby is micro-chipped, crate trained, and neutered.
Scooby would love to have a forever human who will help him learn and thrive. Are you the one to give Scooby his chance at a happy life?
