Meet Annie. She’s Making Up for Lost Time.

Annie is estimated to be about 4 years old, but considering her rough start, she’s basically a newly released adult discovering the finer things in life. And let us tell you: Annie has opinions about the finer things.

• Central air? 10/10.
• Bully rubs? Non-negotiable.
• Food butler? Finally, some competent staff.
• Kisses? Keep ’em coming.

Annie had a really rough beginning, but you would never know it by meeting her. This girl is ridiculously happy. She adores people, loves other dogs, and seems genuinely delighted by basically everything life has to offer now that life has stopped being terrible.

At 42 pounds, she’s the perfect size for adventures, snuggles, and generally being wherever the action is.

She’s great on a leash, housebroken (with the occasional “oops, apparently I forgot” moment), and perfect in her crate at night. She’s also up for pretty much anything. Walk? Sure. Adventure? Absolutely. New experience? Annie is ready for the field trip.

When she gets excited, Annie does this absolutely spectacular little baby-deer-taking-its-first-awkward-steps routine that is impossible not to love. Four legs? Technically. Coordination? Still loading.

Annie does get a little nervous when she first sees a big dog, but slow introductions are her love language. Give her a little time to process the situation, and she warms up beautifully.

And people? People are her favorite.

This girl is affectionate, goofy, grateful, and completely ready to live the life she should have been living all along. Annie is the kind of dog who survived the worst and somehow came out the other side thinking: “Okay, but where are the snacks?”

She is a true gem — and she’s ready for a family who will give her all the love, adventures, kisses, belly rubs, and food service she has apparently decided are her birthright. Annie is not high-maintenance. She simply has standards.
