Where do we begin with Ms Maple? She has had a rough start to life but she does not let it stop her from fully living! Maple is about 3 years old and full of life. She enjoys playing, cuddling and really just being around humans.

Maple is completely blind but she does not let it stop her! Multiple veterinarians have assessed her and believe that she has been blind since birth. Because of this, all of her other senses are heightened and she does a really great job of navigating the world. She uses her human and her paws to feel In front of her which is really cute. She always uses her butt to back up and feel what is behind her. Maple has amazing navigation skills but will need a bit of time to learn her new surroundings. Her sense of smell and hearing are also quite in tune which would make her a really great obedience dog! Many remark that it is hard to tell that Maple has a disability because she plays, loves and enjoys life as if it doesn’t exist. Our greatest hope for Maple is that she may become a therapy dog to be an example of how a disability does not define her. She certainly has the ability to make a great one, very loving and easily trained.

Ms Maple is house broken and respectful of furniture and personal belongings. She does love toys and is pretty good at destuffing them. Maple would love a home with a lot of love to share. A relatively calm home would be best for her as loud noises can be over stimulating for her. She really loves children who are old enough to understand that she cannot see and she also would love a male dog that is playful and gentle.
