Are you looking for an overall ‘Happy go lucky’ young fellow? If that is your jam then you might just want to stop scrolling. Kingston is all that and a bag of chips! At just 1 year old he is not only handsome but he has personality. Some would call it charm, we call it doggy charisma.

Kingston is living in a home with 4 other dogs (2 little dogs, 1 pitbull and 1 german shepard) and he gets along famously with all of them. He also living in a home with cats and while he doesn’t chase them he has shown some interest. Since we feel that behavior could escalate without constant managment, we would like him placed in a home with no kitties. Kingston’s foster family also has chickens and he is totally unfazed by them.

Some pups are blessed to land in foster homes that give us a great idea of where he would be successful and Kingston lucked out with his. In addition to knowing how awesome he is with dogs and his limitation with cats, we also know he is great with kids since his foster home has 2 younger boys (9-10ish). And although we still always recommend kids over the age of 5, he is great with every human he meets. He is still learning how to properly greet people and will sometimes barks in excitement but he calms down and warms up extremely quick.

Kingston is housebroken and crate trained. He does not chew on anything that does not belong to him. He is super food motivated and he honestly thinks eating is his favorite activity (although you would understand why if you saw his condition when he arrived in rescue). But being food motivated highly corrilates to being easy to train so this is a win-win.

This sweetheart loves to ride in the car, gentling resting his head on your shoulder as you drive, or staring out the window at the big wide world. He is always ready for a game of fetch, we think it is second on his all time favorite list, right underneath food. Kingston has been hiking and also swimming and seems to enjoy both so he would do great with a family wanting to make him a part of all of the fun.

Kingston is a catch with looks, personality and overall great temperament.
