Bailey is a sweet senior girl, looking for a loving, final, forever home. You see, Bailey was returned to us recently due to no fault of her own. Her owner fell ill and is no longer able to care for her.
Bailey is approximately 13 years old and has been an only dog, so a home without other dogs is best. While Bailey is almost completely deaf, she does appear to hear very loud sharp noises.
Bailey is very sweet and enjoys meeting new people! She loves to go outside, sniff around, roll in the grass and see what’s going on around her. Due to her advanced age, she appears to tire a bit easier, but still looks forward to going outside anytime she can. She does best going outside for short periods of time throughout the day. She gets excited when she sees her leash, she knows she gets to go outside and wander around the yard. Bailey also gets excited when it’s time to eat, or when she knows treats are coming her way!
Bailey was recently checked out by a vet and received a clean bill of health! She is in good health considering her age. She does struggle with some muscle weakness in her hind legs which is to be expected with age, but don’t be fooled, she doesn’t let that stop her!
Bailey is currently in a foster home with cats and appears to be interested in them, but they are kept separate as they are timid around dogs. She does get excited when she sees them, and looks to engage with them.
Bailey would make a wonderful companion for an individual or family looking for a laid back senior dog. If you’d like to share your home with a very sweet, happy, easy going older girl, then Bailey would be dog-gone happy to meet you!
