Antonio is a currently adoptable dog with Weimaraner Rescue of the North and he is cross posted with Out of the Pits and staying in a foster home in Berne, NY.
He’s young, about 2 years old, 60 pounds, energetic, playful, fun-loving and dog friendly. He’s  a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly.  We’re working on his house manners, crate training and getting him used to being on a leash, as he’s spent most of his life in a kennel.  He is a quick study and doing well in the house and crate.  He is a wrinkly brown chonky piglet, “diamond in the ruff”, with quite a background:

Antonio has quite a story; he came into a Texas shelter at about 10 days old with his two brothers. These babies happened to be there at the same time a Momma dog had been brought in, without her puppies, and she “adopted” Antonio and his two brothers Tex and Austin. With the assistance of Weimaraner Rescue of Texas, we got the little family out of the shelter and safely to New York. Tex and Austin have been adopted and now it’s time for Antonio to find his person or people.

While Antonio’s story may seem a bit sad, we can confirm that he really has known nothing but love since he was 10 days old. He is a love bug himself, loves humans and other dogs, and is just looking for the right human to adopt him.
